The Valley of Fire is, thanks to its winding roads and its alien landscape and its proximity to Las Vegas, extremely popular for car photography. The first time I came through (last year), Goodyear (I think?) was shooting their Superbowl commercial in a canyon not far from park HQ.
This time around, a crew Road and Track magazine was out on the Rainbow Vista road with a camera van, two chase cars, three Nevada Highway Patrol cars… and four of these beasts.
That is a Corvette ZR-1 Centennial Edition - a trim-pack version of the 638hp, 205mph ZR-1, which is already the fastest GM car in the world.
They had two convertibles as well.
I want one.
