Does YOUR shopping mall have trained hawks patrolling the skies?
Orchard Road, Singapore’s rich-git shopping strip (the three near-identical Louis Vuitton stores within two blocks should give you some idea) has a problem: thousands of starlings like to nest in the trees beside the road and do what birds do on the Louis-Vuitton-packing shoppers (there’s an Occupy Wall Street joke to be made there, I’m sure).
After poisoning the starlings was rejected as “too cruel”, the Orchard Road Business Association came up with an awesome solution: trained hawks.
Does your local shopping mall have raptors patrolling the skies? (Tyrannosaurs in F-14s are also acceptable.)
