I was told by the rangers at Grand Teton National Park that if you want to see geothermal mayhem, you should go to Yellowstone; but if you want to see fauna, you should stay in the sagebush scrub of Grand Teton. They weren’t kidding.

Here’s the photographic haul from one evening in Grand Teton: Mr. Moose! Mrs. Moose! Bison (which, incidentally, are delicious)! Baby bison! Pronghorn! And a remarkably friendly beaver!

No bears yet, but they are apparently not hard to find in Yellowstone.
