REVEALED: THE GHOST FLEET OF THE RECESSION, screams the Daily Mail.
The biggest and most secretive gathering of ships in maritime history lies at anchor east of Singapore. Never before photographed, it is bigger than the U.S. and British navies combined but has no crew, no cargo and no destination – and is why your Christmas stocking may be on the light side this year
Oo, er, they’re onto a huge scandal here! Hulks rusting off the coast of Singapore! Crews parked for the foreseeable future! A flotilla that’s “never before [been] photographed”!
Would that be the same flotilla that’s parked right outside my office window? Or is it the one that’s parked a bit further down the east coast?
The real reason for this post, though: I don’t know what they’re on about when they say the cranes at the Port of Singapore are “standing idle”. Here’s another office-window view. (Or watch it in HD here.)
