JRE Keeps You Entertained All Weekend: Jackpot!

JRE likes expensive watches - and watches don’t come much more expensive than the Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon. Here’re some larger pictures (and Singaporean readers, there’s one in the window of Sincere Watches in the Takashimaya mall).

For £455,000 (probably with a sizable discount if you ask nicely), you get a watch that:

  • Tells time;

  • Has a nifty (but ultimately pretty useless) tourbillon;

  • Has a nice leather band and a pink gold case;

  • Has a manual movement, so you have to wind it yourself;

  • And, most importantly, it does this:

What do you mean, “is that it?”. What more could you possibly want for three-quarters of a million dollars, give or take?

(If we’re talking six-digit-pricetag watches, I’d rather have a De Grisogono Meccanico anyway. Or an Urwerk 202 in black.)
