Hand update

Me: So, uh, didn’t I shred the tendons and stuff?

The Doc: Yes, you did. I had to tack them back to the bone.

Me: But isn’t cutting the tendons really really _bad?

_The Doc: Yes. But you’re pretty much fixed. See? Make a fist.

Me: Ow ow ow OW THAT DOESN’T FEEL FIXED!

The Doc: Stop whining and start using your hand. You’ll be fine; I’ll take the stitches out on Saturday.

So - despite mangling the tendons and the skin, leading to an hour in surgery and twenty-some stitches, I’ll be pretty much fixed by the end of the week.

There are plenty of things you can gripe about in Singapore, but the medical system isn’t one of them.
