Oh, joy.

My Xbox 360 is freezing up and giving me the Red Ring of Death.

Last time this happened, it was pretty trivial. Send it off to Microsoft Australia, twiddle thumbs for three weeks, yay new 360.

But who do I go to when I’m over here? I’ll be damned if I’m paying the air-mail charges on three and a half kilos of console back to Australia. But if I take it to Microsoft Singapore, I’ll get back an NTSC-Japan region-coded console - and four hundred bucks worth of games will be up the spout. (No, I’m not going to modchip it. Why the hell would I spend hours soldering to play games that I legally bought?)

Watch this space.
