Last time this happened, it was pretty trivial. Send it off to Microsoft Australia, twiddle thumbs for three weeks, yay new 360.
But who do I go to when I’m over here? I’ll be damned if I’m paying the air-mail charges on three and a half kilos of console back to Australia. But if I take it to Microsoft Singapore, I’ll get back an NTSC-Japan region-coded console – and four hundred bucks worth of games will be up the spout. (No, I’m not going to modchip it. Why the hell would I spend hours soldering to play games that I legally bought?)
