Skype Mobile

Pocket PCs are cool. Bluetooth is cool. Skype is cool. Put them all together, and you have what is quite possibly the coolest package ever. Skype on a PocketPC turns it into the near equivalent of a Pocket PC Phone Edition, with the proviso that you can only place calls, not receive them. Whether or not this is a bad thing is a matter of opinion. Add a Bluetooth headset, and as long as you’re within range of a WiFi base station, you can place phonecalls for one euro-cent (about 1.5 Aussie cents) a minute - which makes mobile phones look a bit pricey. The only problem is finding a wireless base station… or, at least, one that doesn’t cost fourteen bucks an hour
