Into the Fog

Into the Fog, originally uploaded by Shiny Things.

Fog is an omnipresent part of summer on the California coast. Cool, humid ocean air rolls in over the warm coast, and the vapor precipitates into fog – which gives you scenes like this. It can be a clear summer’s day where you are, but half a mile down the road (or over the other side of the coastal hills) it can be cool and foggy.

This snap comes from highway 1, looking up toward Big Sur. Some more pics: a bridge north of Big Sur; a red Mustang; a red ’68 Cadillac; and a small furry animal.
