This is the inside of the Black Hole military surplus store in Los Alamos.
It’s the world’s most awesome military surplus store, not least because they get all of the leftover stuff from Los Alamos National Laboratory. Need a camouflage jacket, a Geiger counter, an old camera lens, a washing-machine-sized centrifuge, and a forklift to take it all home? They’ve got that.
They also have a Geiger counter set up in the store, and it measures a pretty steady 200 counts per minute of radiation. Hey, where are you going?
