Did anyone else see the photo on page A9 of today’s Pravda? They ran a photo of Tim Mackay (the Holcim executive killed in the Jakarta bombings) with half of his face caved in.
Two thoughts. One: I nearly puked. Two: clearly “respect for the dead” is not part of the style guide at the Straits Times. Absolutely disgusting.
In a country so hell bent on censorship, surely that violates some classification system? Or perhaps violence is one of the few things that is not seen as immoral?
