"I was talking to my eight-year-old daughter Charlotte about her watching too much American TV," reports James Mitchell, of Melbourne, "and using too many American words such as 'cell phone'. She came up with a very good idea: 'We could start an American jar, where if we use an American word, we have to put in a quarter'. The sooner we start this jar the better."
JRE generally approves of globalisation, but it's time we took a stand against American English. And anyone who disagrees can shove it up their ass.
