The Go-Downs

The banks of the Singapore River used to be crammed with go-downs – warehouses where cargo was offloaded from ships, part of Singapore’s rich history as a trading port.

These days, there’s not many left – and those that are left have all been converted into bars or restaurants. These two might be the only ones left that haven’t been converted – or demolished and replaced with condos. The full photoset is here.
