Get off my lawn, you damn kids

Richard Hammond doesn't understand Facebook, and is convinced that he is therefore "past it". Brendan Loy of Katrina-blogging fame is "past it".

In that case, I'm "past it" as well. At this rate, it'll only be a month or two before I'm sitting in my rocking chair watching the History Channel, listening to classical music, and reminiscing about the good old days.

(Ed note: I actually wrote this yesterday. Since then, I've had a bit of a play with Facebook and it's not all that bad. It's easier on the eyes than MySpace, at least.)

(Ed note #2: Anyone got any idea how to resurrect my RMIT email address so I can join the RMIT '03 alumni network? Does an RMIT '03 alumni network even exist, given that Facebook wasn't founded until February 2004?)

Heh, I guess I'm "past it" too. I'll be going over to the dark side any day though - I don't want to join, especially, but the reasons to get involved are reaching critical mass. My independence is being held hostage by a very bad photo, a long lost friend and a knitting group...

Hi Josh,

Hope you are enjoying Singapore. I loved the Songs of Praise clip! I have just joined facebook myself after all my nieces and nephews told me I was not too old to join. Now they are in touch with me nearly everyday. Brenda
